After the Second World War during a time of immense economic depression the English created a universal health care system known as the National Health Service. This service took a set amount of funds from each citizen in the United Kingdom and used those funds towards the system which provided free health for its entire population (Moore, 2007). This created a system which the social structure at the time not only sorely required. But also inadvertently become one of its most successful programs several years later.
