Sample Essay

According to the information given near the end of the film, the United States is the only country in the western world to not have adopted a universal health care plan. It is staggering to think of the imbalance within the societal structure that must exist if the very foundational need for this plan is still overlooked despite all the evidence to its benefits. Perhaps the saddest story of the failure of the Health Maintenance organization is the condition of the 9/11 rescue aid workers.

It would stand to reason that the United States would hold anyone who aided them on such a tragic day in very high regard. As from the functional perspective they fulfilled their roles in society even causing them harm in the process. Society should recognize their achievements and give them the health care they need. However, their insurance like so many others in the film is denied as well creating their current predicament (Moore, 2007).

Looking beyond the movie into a more current event, we see a bill for long term a sex offender that was just passed in June of last year in Oklahoma City. This bill is the first of its kind in the unite4d states which establishes a long term care facility for level II and level III sex offenders.
